Family Visas

The various partner visas are typically processed quickly as they require a sponsor who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Spousal and Partner Visas

For on shore applications the fee is $2525 and for offshore applications the fee is $1705 (plus $825 onshore).

Prospective Marriage visas can only be applied for offshore ($1705) and a further $825 is payable after the marriage to complete an onshore Spousal visa.

Parental Visas

The majority of parental visa require an applicant to satisfy the Balance of Family Test. This means that if you are 1 of 2 siblings then 1 of you must be in Australia, but if there are more than 2 siblings the majority of you must be in Australia. This can often be very difficult as children from previous marriages and adopted children also need to be included in the calculation.

Some parental visas are capped and there is a 10+ year wait to receive visas. Others are extremely expensive (contributory parent). We strongly recommend you discuss your situation prior to applying and get some sound advice.
